Umpires named for 2023 TSL Grand Final

Anticipation continues to build for the 2023 TSL Grand Final, with the umpires for the big day now officially locked in.

After a strong season across the umpiring ranks, the senior Grand Final between Kingborough and North Launceston will be officiated by field umpires Tom McIntee, Nathan Geason and Brad Percey.

Geason will be running his fifth senior TSL Grand Final in a row, while McIntee will be officiating the biggest game of the year for a third successive season. This will be Percey’s second senior Grand Final after featuring in 2022.

The senior match will see four Grand Final boundary umpire debutants in Brendan Cook, Brendon Green, Riley Lee-Heath and Curtis Read, while the goals will be looked after by Bryce Guy in his sixth Grand Final and Will Robertson in his second.

Emily Best, who ran the boundary in the Tasmania v Queensland State Game earlier this season has been appointed for the Development League Grand Final, becoming the first female boundary umpire to run in a TSL Senior or Development League Grand Final.
