1. Jack Tremayne (Clarence) has been charged for bumping or making forceful contact to an opponent from front-on when that Player has their head down over the football.
The Match Review Officer has graded the reportable offence as follows:
Careless Medium High
The prescribed Base Sanction for the Reportable Offence is a two match suspension. However, with submission of an Early Guilty Plea, the Charged Person can accept an Early Guilty Plea penalty of a one match suspension.
Player Tremayne has accepted the early guilty plea.
2. Peter Ryan (Clarence coach) has been charge with using abusive, insulting, or obscene language towards or in relation to umpire.
The Match Review Officer has graded the reportable offence as a low-level offence.
In accordance with AFL Tasmania’s policy and the AFL Community Policy Handbook 2023, based on the grading above, the prescribed Base Sanction for the Reportable Offence is a two match suspension. However, with submission of an Early Guilty Plea, the Charged Person can accept an Early Guilty Plea penalty of a one match suspension.
Coach Ryan has accepted the early guilty plea.
3. Nick Paine (Clarence runner) has been charged with using abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene language.
The Match Review Officer has graded the reportable offence as a low-level offence.

However, with submission of an Early Guilty Plea, the Charged Person can accept an Early Guilty Plea penalty of a one match suspension.

1. Corey Lovell (Clarence) was charged for Intentionally or Carelessly making unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the face of another person.
The Match Review Officer has graded the reportable offence as follows:
Intentional Low High
The prescribed Base Sanction for the Reportable Offence is a two match suspension. However, with submission of an Early Guilty Plea, the Charged Person can accept an Early Guilty Plea penalty of a one match suspension.
The sanction was challenged at the Tribunal by the Clarence Football Club on 5/7/23. The charge was dismissed by the Tribunal leaving player Lovell free to play this weekend.
