Thorp’s return headlines round 11 teams
The teams are in for round 11, and the return of Launceston Premiership Coach Mitch Thorp to the playing field headlines the ins and outs.
Thorp is in line to play his first senior game of the season when his Blues take on Lauderdale at Windsor Park on Saturday. 2021 Hudson Medalist Dylan Riley also returns to the side to bolster an already-potent forward line that will be missing the suspended Jake Hinds. Josiah Burling will also be out of the side this weekend.
Lauderdale will be without Dylan Fyfe, Tom Ratcliffe and Harry Richmond, with Luke Paton, Will Poland and Tyler Martin returning. Ruckman Haydn Smith has been named as an emergency after playing in the Development League side last weekend.
Myrtleford recruit Luke Quirk returns for North Hobart’s clash with Glenorchy, as does young gun George McLeod. Hugh Williams Snr, Cohen Stephenson and Brad Tilbury will miss. Young quartet Liam Roach, Braidy Simpson, Matt McInnes and Jordan West return for the ‘Pies.
Clarence has made two changes for its clash with the Northern Bombers at Blundstone Arena, with Mitch Rainbird and Lachlan Borsboom returning for Harry Fisher and Dylan Howlett. North Launceston will welcome Will Harper and Harvey Griffiths back into the senior side.
