Sharpshooters return for round nine action

The competition’s two leading goalkickers will return to senior action in round nine, with Launceston recalling Hudson Medal leader Jake Hinds and Colin Garland returning for the Roos.

Hinds’ Blues will take on Glenorchy at KGV, with Jacob Boyd – fresh from VFL duties with North Melbourne and Alec Wright also returning. Miller Hodge (injury), Josiah Burling and Samuel Foley make way.

Glenorchy will be boosted by the return of defender Blake Waight, who has impressed in his maiden TSL campaign, particularly with his ability to take intercept marks. Bailey Jenkins and Kane Dean also return to the senior side.

Garland is one of five inclusions for Clarence’s meeting with Kingborough following the round eight bye. Mitch Rainbird, Jonty Doran, Harry Burgess and veteran Wade Wall have all been named. Devils quintet Bryce Alomes, Jack Callinan, Tom McCallum, Liam Howard and Cam Owen all return to the NAB League. Kingborough are set to go in unchanged.

North Launceston and Lauderdale will finish the round in an AFL curtain raiser at UTAS Stadium on Sunday.

The Northern and Southern Bombers have made one change apiece, with the hosts bringing Jacob Kerr in for Charlie Skipper, and Oscar Shaw returning for Lauderdale, with Bodhi Kingston making way.
