Preliminary Final schedule confirmed

Following a thrilling first weekend of finals football, week two of the Tasmanian State League finals series has been confirmed, with start times for Grand Final day also announced.

Launceston, after finishing as minor premier, have earned the right to host finals in week one and two of the 2021 TSL finals series, and will host Clarence at Windsor Park on Sunday afternoon.

The condition of Windsor Park will be continually monitored, and as was the case in week one of the finals, a ground assessment will take place prior to game day including representatives from the West Tamar Council.

This clash between the Blues and ‘Roos promises to be an entertaining affair following Clarence’s narrow victory over Launceston in round 20. This senior Preliminary Final will start at 1pm following the Under 18 Preliminary Final between Launceston and Lauderdale at 10:45am.

Clarence will meet North Launceston in the Development League Preliminary Final on Saturday at Lauderdale’s Skybus Oval.

The schedule has also been announced for TSL Grand Final day at UTAS Stadium on Sunday 12 September.

The Under 18 Grand Final will kick the day off in style at 9am, with Clarence to meet the winner of this weekend’s Preliminary Final between Launceston and Lauderdale.

The Development League Grand Final will follow at 11:30am, with Launceston to play either Clarence or North Launceston.

The TSL Grand Final will get underway at 2:30pm, with North Launceston already booking a direct ticket to the big dance – the club’s eighth senior TSL Grand Final in a row.

Saturday 4 September

1:45pm: Development League Preliminary Final – Clarence v North Launceston at Skybus Oval, Lauderdale

Sunday 5 September

10:45am: Under 18 Preliminary Final – Launceston v Lauderdale at Windsor Park

1pm: TSL Preliminary Final – Launceston v Clarence at Windsor Park
