The Match Review Office has assessed the details of the incident and has determined that the action be graded as a “Classifiable Offence” under striking and to be deemed as intentional conduct, with low impact and high contact.

Player Josh Green (Clarence) to be offered a base sanction of (2) matches, reduced to 1 match with an early guilty plea.

Player Josh Green has accepted the early guilty plea.

 

2. Brady Rees (Tigers) was referred for high contact on Jack Preshaw (Clarence) during a ground ball contest in the 4th quarter.

The Match Review Office has assessed the details of the incident and has determined that the action be graded as a “Classifiable Offence” under forceful front on contact and to be deemed as careless conduct, with low impact and high contact.

Player Brady Rees (Tigers) to be offered a base sanction of (1) match, reduced to a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

Player Brady Rees has accepted the early guilty plea.

 

3. Jason Bailey (Clarence) was referred for dropping his knees into Blake McCulloch (Tigers) after he had taken a mark.

The Match Review Office has assessed the details of the incident and has considered the potential to cause harm and have determined that the action be graded as a “Classifiable Offence” under kneeing and to be deemed as intentional conduct, with medium impact and body contact.

4. Ethan Jackson (Clarence) was referred for making unnecessary face contact to Edward Cole (Tigers) in the 3rd quarter.

The Match Review Office has assessed the details of the incident and has determined that the action be graded as a “Classifiable Offence” under unreasonable contact to the face and to be deemed as intentional conduct, with low impact and high contact.

5. Jason Bailey (Clarence) was referred for a dangerous tackle to Blake McCulloch (Tigers) in the 3rd quarter.

The Match Review Office has assessed the details of the incident and has determined that the action be graded as a “Classifiable Offence” under rough conduct and to be deemed as intentional conduct, with low impact and high contact.

Player Jason Bailey (Clarence) to be offered a base sanction of (2) matches, reduced to 1 match with an early guilty plea.

Player Jason Bailey has accepted the early guilty plea.

 

6. Edward Cole (Tigers) was reported for striking Jack Preshaw (Clarence) in the 3rd quarter.

The Match Review Office has assessed the details of the incident and believe their was insufficient force to warrant a report. However, the 50m penalty was the correct decision.

7. Matthew Joseph (Glenorchy) was reported for striking Casey Brown (Launceston) early in the 2nd quarter.

The Match Review Office has assessed the details of the incident and has determined that the action be graded as a “Classifiable Offence” under striking and to be deemed as intentional conduct, with low impact and high contact.

Player Matthew Joseph (Glenorchy) to be offered a base sanction of (2) matches, reduced to a 1 match with an early guilty plea.

Player Matthew Joseph has accepted the early guilty plea.

 

8. Jobi Harper (Launceston) was identified for making contact on Daniel Joseph (Glenorchy) which led to a melee.

The Match Review Office has assessed the details of the incident and have determined that play continued after contact was made. Therefore, this doesn’t constitute Jobi Harper being the instigator of the melee.

No further action required.

Regarding the contact made with Daniel Joseph from Jobi Harper, the Match Review Office deem that the initial contact was shoulder to shoulder followed by momentum and both players losing footing resulting in an accidental elbow as part of the contest.

A free kick should have been awarded but the matter was not deemed a reportable offence.

No further action required.
