1. Tyler Carter (Tigers) was referred for striking Tom Cleary (Glenorchy)
The Match Review Panel determined that there was insufficient force to constitute a reportable offence. No further action is required.
2. Jakob Laskey (North Launceston) was referred for making high contact against Dylan Howlett (Clarence)
The Match Review Panel determined that Jakob Laskey be charged with intentionally or carelessly striking another person. The MRP determined the strike to be intentional, with low impact and high contact. Player Laskey has been offered a base sanction of two matches, reduced to one match with an early guilty plea.
Player Laskey has rejected the offer. This matter will be heard by the Independent Tribunal at 6pm on Tuesday 4th August.
UPDATE: Based on the evidence presented to the tribunal, player Laskey was found NOT GUILTY. The Tribunal found that the contact made did not constitute a reportable offence and the charge dismissed.
