#BUPATSL Tribunal Results – Finals Week 1

Glenorchy and Lauderdale will be breathing a sigh of relief tonight, with both Sam Reeves and Sam Siggins clear to play this weekend.
1. Sam Reeves (Glenorchy) was reported for head-butting or making contact with the head against Bryce Walsh (Lauderdale)
The Match Review Panel determined the action was intentional, with low impact and high contact. Player Reeves has been offered a base sanction of two matches, reduced to one match with an early guilty plea.
Player Reeves rejected the offer of the Match Review Panel and the matter was heard by the Independent Tribunal on Tuesday 3rd September at 6:30pm.
Player Reeves entered a plea of NOT GUILTY to the charge, citing that impact made was of an insufficient force to warrant a report.
The Independent Tribunal, considering the evidence presented by all parties, determined that the impact was indeed of an insufficient force to warrant a reportable offence.
As a result, Player Reeves has no case to answer and is free to play this weekend.
2. Sam Siggins (Lauderdale) was reported for striking John Geard (Glenorchy)
Due to insufficient visual evidence, this matter was referred to the Independent Tribunal and heard tonight (Tuesday 3 September) at 6:00pm.
Player Siggins entered a plea of GUILTY for intentionally/carelessly striking Player Geard.
The Independent Tribunal, considering the evidence presented by all parties, found the charge of a careless strike sustained but determined that it was of low impact and to the body.
As a result, Player Siggins has been handed a reprimand and is free to play this weekend.
