The Wrap Up: Wrest Point TSLW Round 13

Round 13 of the Wrest Point TSLW season saw Clarence leapfrog North Launceston to sit third on the ladder, TSLW reporter Olivia Clayton looks at the round.

Clarence are now sitting in third spot on the ladder, one game clear of North Launceston, after they defeated them by 47 points at Blundstone Arena.

The Roos leading goal kickers were Grace Mitchell, Jessie Williams, Katherine Johnson and Maddy Smith with two goals apiece. Katherine Johnson was also named as their best on ground, impressing in her new role as a forward.

North Launceston’s goals were kicked by four different players in Emily McKinnell, Lucy Sulzberger, Maggie Cuthbertson and Caitlyn Hooper, while Jodie Clifford impressed around the ground.

This was an important win for the ‘Roos, providing the 2018 Grand Finalists with the edge over the Northern Bombers as the race for finals ramps up.

Clarence will play Lauderdale at Skybus Oval this week; while North Launceston will take on Glenorchy at Invermay Park.

Glenorchy notched their ninth win of the season after defeating the Tigers by 77 points at the Twin Ovals.

Holly Ryan booted five goals for the Pies and Elise Barwick was named as their best on ground.

Ellie Doyle and Tayla Clifford kicked the Tigers only goals and Liarna Reid was their best on ground.

Glenorchy remain in second place on the ladder and will take on North Launceston at Invermay Park this week.

The Tigers stay in fifth place and will battle it out against ladder leader Launceston in round fourteen.

Launceston made it twelve out of twelve wins in round thirteen after they kept Lauderdale scoreless.

The Blues had ten different goal scorers, but Ange Dickson led the pack booting nine for the side earning her best on ground as well.

Chloe Stewart, Katie Teders and Bella Goward were Lauderdale’s top three best on ground.

Launceston remain in top spot on the ladder and will host the Tigers at Windsor Park in round fourteen, as they continue their charge towards an unbeaten, perfect season.

Lauderdale stay in sixth place and will battle it out against Clarence at Skybus Oval this week.
