#BUPATSL MRP Results – Round 7

It was a busy Monday morning for the Match Review Panel, with seven incidents looked at out of round seven action. 

 

1.      Aiden Grace (Glenorchy) was referred for making prohibited contact to the stomach/groin of Edward Trupp (Lauderdale)

Due to a lack of visual evidence, this matter has been referred directly to the Independent Tribunal to be heard on Tuesday 14th May at 6:00pm.

 

2.      Liam Smith (Glenorchy) was referred for rough conduct against Alex Hevey (Lauderdale)

The Match Review Panel determined the bump to be intentional, with high impact and high contact. Player Smith has been offered a base sanction of 4 matches, reduced to 3 matches with an early guilty plea.

3.      Sam Hall (Glenorchy) was referred for kneeing Ben McGuinness (Lauderdale)

The Match Review Panel determined the kneeing to be intentional, with low impact to the body. Player Hall has been offered a base sanction of 1 match, reduced to a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

Player Hall has accepted a reprimand.

4.      Zac Buechner (Clarence) was referred for an off-ball incident against Tyler Carter (Tigers)

Due to a lack of visual evidence, this matter has been referred directly to the Independent Tribunal to be heard on Tuesday 14th May at 6:45pm.

 

5.      Luke Graham (Tigers) was referred for rough conduct against Ryan Edmondson (Clarence)

The Match Review Panel determined the bump to be intentional, with high impact and high contact. Player Graham has been offered a base sanction of 4 matches, reduced to 3 matches with an early guilty plea. The Panel gave strong consideration also to the potential to cause serious injury.

Contact shall be classified as High or to the Groin where a Player’s head or groin makes contact with another Player or object such as the fence or the ground as a result of the actions of the offending Player.

Player Graham has accepted a three-match suspension.

6.      Bart McCulloch (North Launceston) was reported for striking Bailey Walker (North Hobart)

The Match Review Panel determined the strike to be careless, with low impact to the head. Player McCulloch has been offered a base sanction of 1 match, reduced to a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

Player McCulloch has accepted a reprimand.

7.      Dakota Bannister (North Launceston) was referred for an off-ball incident against Samuel Caswell (North Hobart)

Based on evidence provided by the North Hobart Football Club, no further action is required.
