Bupa TSL MRP – Round 21

The Match Review Panel sat on Monday to assess several incidents from the weekend’s action. 

 1.      Brayden Webb (Glenorchy) was referred for a dangerous tackle on Brodie Palfreyman (Launceston)

The Match Review Panel determined the tackle to be careless, with low impact to the body. The MRP took into consideration the fact that both players were over the boundary line when the tackle occurred, and also the potential to cause serious injury due to the close proximity of the fence.

Player Webb has been offered a base sanction of 1 match, reduced to a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

2.      Rhys Mott (Glenorchy) was referred for making contact to the groin of Jake Smith (Launceston)

The Match Review Panel determined the contact to be careless, with low impact to the groin. Due to a suspension in Round 4, Player Mott has received an additional 1 match to his base sanction.

Player Mott has been offered a base sanction of 2 matches, reduced to 1 match with an early guilty plea.

3.      Jake Hinds (Launceston) was referred for making contact to the head of Rhys Mott (Glenorchy)

The Match Review Panel determined the contact to be careless, with low impact to the head. Due to a suspension in Round 1, Player Hinds has received an additional 1 match to his base sanction.

Player Hinds has been offered a base sanction of 2 matches, reduced to 1 match with an early guilty plea.

Player Hinds has rejected the offer. The matter will now be heard by the Independent Tribunal on Tuesday 21st August at 6:30pm.

4.     Jake Hinds (Launceston) was referred for striking Josh Arnold (Glenorchy)

This matter will be heard by the Independent Tribunal on Tuesday 21st August at 7:00pm

5.      Casey Brown (Launceston) was referred for making contact to the head of Chris McKnight (Glenorchy)

The Match Review Panel determined that a free kick was a correct outcome. The action does not constitute a reportable offence. No further action is required.

6.      Arion Richter-Salter (North Launceston) was referred for making contact to the groin of Thor Boscott (Lauderdale)

Due to insufficient evidence, this matter has been referred to the Independent Tribunal, with the case to be heard on Tuesday 21st August at 6:00pm.

7.      Haydn Smith (Lauderdale) was referred for making contact to the head of Taylor Whitford (North Launceston)

The Match Review Panel determined that the action does not constitute a reportable offence. No further action is required.

8.      Micah Reynolds (Tigers) was referred for pushing Ashton Dickenson (Clarence) into the goal post

The Match Review Panel determined the rough conduct to be careless, with low impact to the body.

Player Reynolds has been offered a base sanction of 1 match, reduced to a reprimand with an early guilty plea.
