Bupa TSL Round 15 Midfielder of the Week
Round 15 of the Bupa Tasmanian State League is now behind us, and after a weekend soaked in drama and entertaining football, we want to know who you considered to be the standout performers.
We now take a look at the middle of the ground, where two of the competition’s prime movers stood out in their respective wins,
Taylor Whitford (North Launceston)
After a starring role in North Launceston’s 2017 flag triumph, playing coach Taylor Whitford is having some sort of 2018 campaign.
Whitford’s class came to the fore under the Friday night lights, steering his side to a come-from-behind, thrilling one-point triumph.
Now outright second in the RACT Insurance Player of the Year award, Whitford is without question one of the competition’s most in-form players, with performances like this against the Blues a crystal clear reminder to everyone in the league.

Nat Franklin (Lauderdale)
Nat Franklin continued his solid 2018 campaign with another impressive performance through the middle in the Eastern Shore derby.
Finding plenty of the football and using it well moving forward, Franklin provided the forward group of Thor Boscott, Jacob Gillbee, Ed Stanley and Tim Mosquito with ample supply, while also drifting forward to kick a goal himself.
Despite occasionally going under the radar this season, Franklin has stepped up to fill the void left by the injured Bryce Walsh as a key leader of this team.
