Bupa TSL Round 14 Forward of the Week

With round 14 now behind us we want you to let us know who you thought were the best performers across the round of football.

We now move to the forward line, where we have a replay of last week’s match-up between two stars of the competition.

Jaye Bowden (Glenorchy)

The Magpie legend was superb for the Magpies in a crucial win over the Blues at KGV Oval.

A four-goal period in the middle of the match swung the game’s momentum fully in the hosts favour, with Bowden’s influence and presence inside 50 wreaking havoc.

With clever finishes under immense pressure and strong contested marks, Bowden’s presence and goal awareness inside 50 is second to none.

Mitch Carter (Tigers)

Although on the wrong side of the end result, Tigers star Mitch Carter was a key figure in Saturday’s clash at Blundstone Arena.

Booting three goals, Carter’s ability to convert was crucial in the visitors going toe to toe with the ‘Roos in the first half, while his role saw him move further up the field in the second half as he continued to find the football and use his elite kick to create attacking forays.

Trent Baumeler said post-game that he would love to have two of Mitch Carter – one at both ends of the ground.
