Bupa TSL Round 12 Midfielder of the Week
With the dust starting to settle on a bumper round 12 of the Bupa Tasmanian State League season, we now cast our eyes over the standout defenders, midfielders and forwards of the round.
We now look at the midfielders, with two of the competition’s star onballers standing tall.
Phil Bellchambers (Lauderdale)
A performance unfortunately soured by a one-match suspension, Lauderdale gun Phil Bellchambers had an enormous impact in helping the Bombers register an important win over the Tigers.
A bull in the middle of the ground, Bellchambers’ battles with Will Campbell were absorbing, while the Lauderdale star’s leadership also proved invaluable around the ground.
Delivering a consistent 2018 campaign, the loss of Bellchambers for next weekend is a big one, with performances like this demonstrating just why.

Rhys Mott (Glenorchy)
One of the competition’s best midfielders, Rhys Mott had a big role to play in the Magpies’ win over the Demons, working off a tag to get his hands on the ball.
Forced to deal with tags frequently this season, Mott broke away in the second half against North Hobart, delivering plenty of ball to the likes of Jaye Bowden inside 50.
Part of a dynamic midfield group, Glenorchy fans will be eager to see what Rhys Mott can deliver in the back half of the season.
