Bupa TSL Round 11 Midfielder of the Week

Round 11 of the Bupa Tasmanian State League has been run and won, with Clarence, North Launceston and Glenorchy recording important victories.

We want to know who you considered to be the standout performers across the round.

IC: Andrew Woodgate

We now cast our eyes over the midfielders, with a star Roo and gun Bomber the contenders.

Dakota Bannister (North Launceston)

Dakota Bannister was exceptional through the middle of the ground for the Northern Bombers, combining brilliantly with Alex Lee around stoppages, while also drifting forward to hit the scoreboard in a big way.

Bannister kicked five goals in a best afield display, showing off his elite skills, immense strength and terrific football nous.

Bannister, Brad Cox-Goodyer and Zach Burt were far too strong in the second half in front of goal, with Bannister’s strength around stoppages a clear feature in the Bombers’ dominant second half.

Jake Cox (Clarence)

IC: Solstice Digital

Another week, another Jake Cox masterclass.

The Clarence star was at his dynamic best against the Blues, booting three goals and finding plenty of the football in a dominant display.

With the ability to make the mercurial look easy, Cox kicked a sensational goal from the pocket in the third term, essentially snubbing the Blues out of the contest.

A class above most in the competition, Jake Cox is once again having an exceptional campaign in the red and white.
