Bupa TSL Round 8 Back of the Week
Round eight of the Bupa Tasmanian State League season saw the Demons break through for their first win of the season, North Launceston stamp its authority as the competition’s premier outfit and Clarence down the Bombers in the Eastern Shore derby.
After such a big round of action, we want to know who you considered to be the round’s standout defender, midfielder, and forward.
We start by looking at the backmen, with a Demons stalwart and a Northern Bomber standing tall.

Hugh Williams (North Hobart)
An inspirational return for the inspirational skipper, Williams returned to the field for the first time since suffering a nasty injury earlier in the season.
Williams led from the front, starting up forward before slotting back into defence, patrolling the back half and proving resolute, particularly when the game was on the line in the final term.
A stalwart of the North Hobart Football Club, few would have enjoyed the young Demons’ success on Sunday as much as Williams.

Arion Richter-Salter (North Launceston)
A model of consistency this season for the Northern Bombers, Richter-Salter delivered another impressive display in an impressive win.
With the ability to lock down an opponent and find the ball himself, 19-year-old Richter-Salter is an essential part of Taylor Whitford’s side.
Richter-Salter provided plenty of drive out of the back half, linking up well with the likes of Taylor Whitford to create many a foray inside attacking 50.
