Bupa TSL Round 7 Midfielder of the Week
Round seven of the Bupa Tasmanian State League season saw a nail-biting finish at Windsor Park, the determined Roos record another crucial win and the Northern Bombers prevail in the Grand Final replay.
We want to know who you considered to be the premier defenders, midfielders, ruckmen and forwards of the round.
Midfielders stood tall across the weekend’s action, with North Launceston skipper Taylor Whitford and Launceston utility Rulla Kelly-Mansell both standing out from the pack.

Taylor Whitford (North Launceston)
Just like he did in the 2017 Grand Final, Taylor Whitford played a key role in orchestrating a big North Launceston win over Lauderdale at UTAS Stadium.
Now coaching the side as opposed to captaining, Whitford was sensational, rotating between the midfield and forward line to boot three goals and be adjudged best afield and receiving three RACT Insurance Player of the Year votes to move into equal second.
Whitford is a crucial part of the competition’s deepest midfield, and with performances like this, is likely to cause opposition sides plenty of headaches as the season progresses.

Rulla Kelly-Mansell (Launceston)
Playing a sweeping role off a wing, Kelly-Mansell took control during parts of the match, using his elite skills and athleticism to cover plenty of ground and provide a link between defence and attack.
Kelly-Mansell earned three RACT Insurance Player of the Year votes for his efforts, with the X-Factor leading the way in an impressive win.
Launceston fans will be keen to see Kelly-Mansell continue to play this way as the season progresses.
