Bupa TSL Round 6 Midfielder of the Week
Round six of the Bupa Tasmanian State League season saw the Roos end the Magpies’ unbeaten start to the season, the Blues continue their red-hot form and the southern Bombers register a valuable win.
We want to know who you considered to be the premier defenders, midfielders, ruckmen and forwards of the round.
Clarence playing coach Jeromey Webberley delivered his finest performance of the season, while Launceston star Jay Blackberry also impressed to be the two nominees for this round’s midfielder of the week.

Jeromey Webberley (Clarence)
In one of the Roos’ biggest matches for the season against arch rival Glenorchy, Clarence playing-coach Jeromey Webberley led from the front, moving himself into the middle for more midfield minutes.
Webberley controlled the middle of the ground, combining brilliantly with Jackson O’Brien to help the visitors improve in an area that was down against Launceston last weekend.
The former Richmond player also drifted forward to kick two vital goals in an enthralling contest after spending much of the start of the season across half back.
Clarence fans will be hoping Webberley is able to continue as a crucial midfield cog for the remainder of the season.

Jay Blackberry (Launceston)
Launceston were irresistable against the Tigers on Saturday, and Jay Blackberry was a crucial part of it.
The star Blue found plenty of the football through the middle, linking up well with Dylan Riley off half back, Hamish Leedham in the ruck and Mitch Thorp up forward.
Up against an impressive Tigers’ midfield group, Blackberry stood tall to deliver a best afield performance, being named as the Blues’ best, and receiving three RACT Insurance Player of the Year votes.
