1. North Launceston & Launceston players were referred for being involved in a melee
It was the view of the Match Review Panel that player Chris Savage (Launceston) was the instigator of the melee.
Player Savage has been offered a low-level reprimand for Instigating a Melee.
Player Savage has accepted a low-level reprimand.
2. Jake Hinds (Launceston) was reported for striking Bart McCulloch (North Launceston)
The Match Review Panel determined the strike to be intentional, with low impact to the head.
Player Hinds has been offered a base sanction of two matches, reduced to one match with an early guilty plea.
Player Hinds has accepted a one match suspension.
3. Jeromey Webberley (Clarence) was referred for making prohibited contact to Haydyn Smith (Lauderdale)
The Match Review Panel determined that there was insufficient force to sustain a charge.
No further action will be taken.
4. Jordon Roberts (Lauderdale) was referred for a dangerous tackle on Wade Wall (Clarence)
The Match Review Panel determined that the tackle was careless, with low impact to the body. The Match Review Panel also gave strong consideration for the potential to cause serious injury.
Player Roberts has been offered a base sanction of two matches, reduced to one match with an early guilty plea. Player Roberts’ base sanction includes a one match loading due to a poor record.
Player Roberts has rejected the offer. The matter will now be heard at Tribunal on Wednesday 4th April at 6:00pm.
